A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because its trust is not on the branch, but on its own wings. Always believe in yourself. And if in doubt find yourself a bunch of kids who will show you every day how easy it is to fly!

Why I do what I do? Because it matters. To them, to me, to the future.

Ready for the new week! The past one has been a bit of a struggle, especially the last part with the crash and not being superhuman and able to train with a 100 percent. But I’m getting there again! In the end it’s how you deal with the struggle and I e never been good at that but I’m slowly learning to trust myself and my body that I don’t always need to be giving a 100 percent. Sometimes not being perfect is just good enough. I’m glad my teammates reminded me of that. Several times 😅

Trying to swim the pain away… tomorrow I’m gonna be aching all over - not just from the daily madness but from the concussion and crash as well. But it was so so worth it!

Focus. Focus on the things you love to do and focus on the things that make you happy - not just on the outside. Your life is determined on what you focus on. So focus on the things that are good for you.

For 1.5 years I didn’t dare to go swimming though the pool was open last summer. This year I am still being careful and considering how many people have booked tickets (you can see that on the homepage thankfully) but I am going. The first 1000 we’re not as easy as I thought but oh the feeling of being surrounded by water and in the end the only one in the pool was much greater than I expected. Yes, there are risks. Yes I am taking a lot of them. But right now I get so many more benefits.

Es wär auch schön blöd nicht an Wunder zu glauben…

Die you know, that my heart skips a beat and clenches every time I hear the sirens of an ambulance or firetruck? My face crumbles and scrunches together because I clench my jaw and shut my eyes so tight it hurts. They mean something bad has happened. Someone is hurt or worse. And I pray it’s not the people I love. When was the last time you hugged the people that mean most to you and told them you love them? The sky is bleeding today. Because somewhere someone has lost the very person they loved more than anything. I am glad this person is not me. Not today. Be thankful for every darn moment!

Finally got my phone back! (It’s been broken since Thursday…) so I can finally post this lovely picture of our girls-day-out from Thursday with the lovely @_teresa_tt and @jelisa.veta 💖 just enjoying life and the sun!

When life gives you lemons, throw the lemons back in life’s face like a football and yell ‘I’m learning to play football now you sucker, so don’t bug me with lemons when you’re not able to provide the appropriate amount of tequila!’
